The Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI) has launched the second edition of its Accelerator Programme to empower startups and technology companies in creating AI-driven solutions for pressing government challenges.

The initiative, which received over 1,300 applications from local and global firms, attracted major international players including IBM, e&, and Capgemini. In collaboration with 20 Dubai government entities, the programme gathered 105 AI use cases, with 15 selected for further development.

Saeed Al Falasi, Executive Director of DCAI, said the surge in participation reflects Dubai’s rapid growth as a global AI hub. He noted that many international startups have recently relocated their headquarters to the UAE, drawn by the emirate’s supportive innovation ecosystem.

Al Falasi highlighted the impact of the Dubai AI Seal, launched by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, which verifies and accelerates the deployment of trustworthy AI technologies to strengthen Dubai’s economy and public services.

Held in partnership with the newly established Dubai Founders HQ, the programme connects local and international innovators to exchange expertise, prototype solutions, and support the government’s digital transformation goals.

Following the testing and implementation phases, DCAI will announce the winning startups and their solutions, marking another step in Dubai’s mission to position itself as a global leader in artificial intelligence and smart governance.
