The Dubai Centre for Family Businesses, operating under Dubai Chambers, successfully wrapped up its latest session in the ‘Governance Series.’

The interactive workshop, attended by 40 family business representatives, focused on succession planning strategies to ensure seamless transitions of management and ownership across generations.

The event featured insights from leading experts, including Mr. Vladislav Burda, President of RedHead Family Corporation, who shared lessons from his family business management journey. Dr. Joseph Astrachan, Founder of Generation6 and a family business advisory expert, delivered an engaging presentation, offering interactive exercises and case studies on family business continuity.

The Governance Series, a key initiative of the Dubai Centre for Family Businesses, addresses critical issues such as legal frameworks, governance, and long-term sustainability for family-run companies. Through a series of educational workshops, the initiative aims to foster a thriving ecosystem for family businesses in Dubai, providing networking opportunities and sharing success stories from local, regional, and global family businesses.

The recent session marked the fourth of the year, building on previous topics like family business law, corporate governance, and sustainability strategies. The centre also launched a special guide titled Succession Planning for Family Businesses, providing tools to help companies navigate generational transitions smoothly.

Launched in May 2023 under Dubai Chambers, the Dubai Centre for Family Businesses plays a pivotal role in enhancing the economic contribution and long-term sustainability of family-owned companies, aligning with Dubai’s future development goals.
