Dubai Chamber of Commerce has widened its global reach with trade missions across 20 countries, primarily in Asia and Africa, under its “New Horizons” initiative aimed at helping Dubai-based companies tap into new international markets.

The initiative, launched in early 2023, aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) and the Dubai Global initiative, which target expanding access to 30 key markets worldwide. According to Salem Alshamsi, Executive Vice President of International Relations at Dubai Chambers, the program reinforces Dubai’s position as a global business hub and enhances the competitiveness of its private sector.

Speaking during a trade mission to Georgia on October 20 and 21, Alshamsi highlighted Dubai’s strong connectivity and supportive business environment as key enablers for international expansion. The mission featured bilateral meetings between Emirati and Georgian companies focused on strengthening trade and investment partnerships.

Non-oil trade between Dubai and Georgia reached US$761 million by the end of 2024, marking a 58 percent increase from the previous year. As of June 2025, 114 Georgian companies are registered with the Dubai Chamber, including 16 new members added in the first half of the year.

The Chamber’s delegation to Georgia included 15 Dubai-based companies from various sectors exploring opportunities in the country’s open and strategically positioned economy. Alshamsi noted that the New Horizons initiative provides member companies with workshops, trade missions, and global engagements to foster international growth and collaboration.
