Dubai Chamber of Commerce has wrapped up its trade mission to Malaysia and Cambodia with a series of high-level engagements aimed at strengthening economic ties and opening new avenues for investment and trade.

The chamber organised 189 bilateral business meetings in Phnom Penh, bringing together companies from Dubai and Cambodia to explore potential partnerships across multiple sectors. The mission also featured the Doing Business with Cambodia forum, hosted in cooperation with the UAE Embassy, Cambodia’s Ministry of Commerce, the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce, and the Council for the Development of Cambodia.

The forum drew more than 357 officials and business leaders who gathered to discuss opportunities for collaboration. Senior representatives from both sides delivered insights on the evolving business landscape, including Tekreth Kamrang from Cambodia’s Ministry of Commerce and Kith Meng from the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce. Suon Sophal from the Council for the Development of Cambodia outlined the country’s economic growth trajectory and key investment areas.

Salem Alshamsi, Executive Vice President of International Relations at Dubai Chambers, reaffirmed the chamber’s commitment to helping Dubai-based companies expand internationally and strengthen their presence in priority markets. He highlighted how such missions support the sustainable growth of Dubai’s business community and enhance the emirate’s position as a global business hub.

During the forum, Dubai Chamber of Commerce presented the advantages of Dubai’s business ecosystem for Cambodian enterprises, emphasising the emirate’s role as a strategic gateway to regional markets. Cambodian officials shared an overview of the country’s economic fundamentals and outlined investment opportunities available to foreign companies.

The chamber identified promising sectors for bilateral trade and investment, ranging from aluminium, iron and steel, and furniture to tourism, transportation, textiles, and infrastructure development.
