Dubai Chamber of Commerce has extended its New Horizons trade initiative to 27 markets across Asia and Africa, cementing Dubai's ambitions as a global hub for commerce and investment.

Since its launch in 2023, the initiative has facilitated over 6,000 meetings between Dubai-based companies and international firms, opening new export and investment channels while deepening ties with global chambers of commerce. The figures were shared by Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, Director General of Dubai Chambers, during a trade mission to Ethiopia.

Lootah noted that the initiative aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) and the Dubai Global programme, which targets commercial opportunities across 30 priority markets. He added that Dubai Chambers will continue building direct communication channels between its members and global partners.

Ethiopia's inclusion in the mission reflects the remarkable growth in bilateral trade between Dubai and the East African nation, which climbed from $454 million in 2013 to approximately $6.1 billion in 2025. Lootah attributed the initiative's broader success to the global trust and competitiveness that Dubai-based businesses command on the world stage.

The momentum is backed by record export figures. Dubai Chamber of Commerce members recorded AED 356.5 billion in exports and re-exports in 2025, up from AED 309.6 billion the previous year, a 15.1% increase that signals sustained growth in Dubai's trade footprint.

With New Horizons steadily expanding its reach, Dubai Chambers is positioning itself as a key driver in connecting local businesses to the opportunities reshaping global trade.
