Dubai Chamber of Commerce Highlights GCC as a Key Export Market in the First Half of 2024

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce has announced that the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) market remained the leading export and re-export destination for its member companies in the first half of 2024.

The GCC accounted for 53.9% of the total exports and re-exports, amounting to approximately AED 78.6 billion. This underscores the market's crucial role for the chamber's members.

Following the GCC, non-GCC countries in the Middle East were the second-largest destination, with 23.9% of exports and re-exports valued at AED 34.9 billion. African markets ranked third, accounting for 9.9% with a combined value of AED 14.5 billion.

The Asia-Pacific region was fourth, contributing 9.2% of exports worth about AED 13.4 billion. European markets followed in fifth place, representing 1.9% of total exports and re-exports, valued at AED 2.8 billion. North America ranked sixth, making up 0.6% with a value of AED 946 million, while Latin America came seventh with around 0.6% of the total, amounting to AED 839 million.

Overall, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce members' exports and re-exports reached approximately AED 145.9 billion during H1 2024. The chamber also issued 372,720 certificates of origin, highlighting its active role in facilitating trade and economic growth for its members.
