Dubai Chamber of Commerce Promotes ‘Parent-Friendly Label’ to Enhance Work-Life Balance
Dubai Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority (ECA), recently hosted a seminar focused on promoting the ‘Parent-friendly Label’ programme.
The event aimed to encourage greater private sector participation in fostering work-life balance, drawing 110 participants from 66 companies.
The Parent-friendly Label initiative, launched by ECA, recognizes organizations across the UAE for creating supportive environments that help parents balance work, family, and childcare responsibilities. Over 148,000 employees and 50,000 children have already benefitted from participating organizations.
Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, emphasized the program’s impact on community wellbeing and institutional productivity. He highlighted its role in enhancing Dubai’s appeal to global talent and reinforcing responsible business practices.
Sana Mohamed Suhail, Director General of ECA, underscored the program's expansion and the importance of partnership with Dubai Chambers in raising awareness and fostering supportive workplace cultures nationwide.
The Parent-friendly Label promotes voluntary adoption of best practices aligned with international standards, enhancing employee wellbeing and organizational performance. It facilitates flexible workplace policies that aid talent retention and bridge the gap between public and private sector benefits for parents, ultimately enriching the UAE’s labor landscape.
The collaborative effort reflects a commitment to nurturing family-friendly workplaces, ensuring better care for children and boosting overall community welfare.
