Dubai Chamber of Commerce has reinforced its role in promoting responsible business practices through hosting The Purpose Forum, a key event under its Sustainability 365 initiative.

The forum brought together 124 participants from various sectors to explore ways to advance corporate social responsibility and strengthen the private sector’s role in community development.

Organised by the chamber’s Centre for Responsible Business (CRB), the event served as a platform for meaningful dialogue on how companies can expand their social impact. Representatives from DP World Foundation, Furjan Dubai, Emirates Nature–WWF, and the Dubai Community Contributions Establishment (Jood) shared insights during talks and panel discussions.

Participants examined topics including health, culture, global philanthropy, and the growing importance of structured giving. The sessions highlighted how strategic collaborations between public and private sectors can enhance purpose-driven initiatives and create more inclusive communities.

The discussions also focused on the role of social enterprises in national sustainability efforts, the promotion of volunteerism, and how organisations define and engage with their communities. Speakers emphasised that true success in community empowerment should be measured not just by metrics, but by long-term social value and impact.

For over two decades, the Centre for Responsible Business has led efforts to embed sustainability and ESG principles into corporate culture in Dubai. Through its platforms and resources, it continues to help companies enhance performance while contributing to broader social and environmental goals.
