A recent analysis by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce has revealed that Indian investors topped the list of new non-Emirati companies joining the chamber in the first half of 2024, with 7,860 new companies.

The report underscores Dubai's growing appeal to international businesses, particularly from India. Pakistan followed in second place with 3,968 new companies, while Egypt secured third place with 2,355 new registrations.

Other significant contributors included Syria with 1,358 new companies, the United Kingdom with 1,245, and Bangladesh with 1,119 new companies. Iraq, China, Sudan, and Jordan also featured prominently, each contributing hundreds of new member companies.

In terms of sectoral distribution, the trade and repairing services sector led with 41.5% of new memberships, followed by the real estate, renting, and business services sector at 33.6%. The construction sector, which saw a 23.5% year-on-year growth, ranked third with 9.4% of the new members.

The transport, storage, and communications sector, and social and personal services sector also demonstrated strong performances, with significant growth rates compared to the previous year.

The findings reflect Dubai’s strong ability to attract direct investments and its increasing appeal among global investors, particularly from India, Pakistan, and Egypt.
