Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy has brought together leading investors and family offices to sharpen the outlook for venture capital investment in the emirate, reinforcing Dubai’s ambition to remain a global hub for startups and innovation.

The chamber organised a high-level roundtable in collaboration with the World Governments Summit 2026, attracting more than 20 prominent investors and representatives from family offices across Dubai and the wider UAE.

The session was attended by Ahmad bin Byat, Vice Chairman of Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy; Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers; and Saeed Al Gergawi, Vice President of the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy.

Omar Sultan AlOlama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, and Chairman of Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, said Dubai continues to strengthen its position as a leading destination for venture capital and high-growth startups, guided by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

He highlighted Dubai’s advanced digital infrastructure, enabling policies, stable regulatory environment, and strong connections between investors and entrepreneurs as key factors supporting regional and global expansion.

Participants discussed Dubai’s growing appeal among high-growth technology companies and its role as a dynamic platform for startups and major investment funds. The discussion also covered venture capital best practices for family businesses, current market trends, and technology sectors expected to offer strong opportunities over the next five years.

The roundtable underscored Dubai’s progress in building an integrated innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem aligned with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), which aims to attract global talent and investment.

The World Governments Summit 2026, held under the theme “Shaping the Governments of the Future,” runs until 5 February and brings together heads of state, ministers, CEOs, and international organisations from around the world.
