Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy supported the establishment and expansion of 1,690 digital startups in 2025, marking a 39.7 percent increase from the previous year and reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global hub for digital entrepreneurship.

The chamber, one of three operating under Dubai Chambers, reported that artificial intelligence companies accounted for about 15 percent of supported businesses, while fintech firms made up 12 percent. Startups specialising in mobility technology, software as a service, and e-commerce collectively represented 20 percent. Global companies comprised 75 percent of all supported firms, highlighting Dubai’s international appeal as a base for digital growth.

A key development in strengthening the ecosystem was the launch of Dubai Founders HQ in October. Introduced by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the initiative brings together founders, investors, corporates, and enablers through a combined physical and digital platform designed to accelerate collaboration and innovation.

Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications and Chairman of the chamber, said the organisation remains focused on enabling digital companies to scale from Dubai through advanced infrastructure, agile regulation, and strong market access.

During 2025, 48 percent of supported companies received assistance with business setup and access to accelerators and incubators, while 31 percent benefited from broader business support services. The chamber also continued to promote innovation through initiatives such as the Create Apps Championship and by hosting the 10th edition of Expand North Star, which attracted more than 2,000 startups and over 1,200 investors.

Throughout the year, the chamber organised 36 events, conducted 17 international roadshows across 11 countries, and published eight reports aimed at strengthening Dubai’s digital economy and global competitiveness.
