Dubai Chamber of Commerce has bolstered trade relations between Dubai and Georgia by facilitating 294 bilateral business meetings in Tbilisi during the first leg of its trade mission to Georgia and Armenia under the ‘New Horizons’ initiative.

The initiative aims to support Dubai-based companies in expanding internationally by exploring promising global markets. The mission brought together representatives from 15 companies spanning industries such as automotive, construction, energy, healthcare, logistics, and food and beverages.

A key highlight of the visit was the “Doing Business with Georgia” forum, organised with the support of the UAE Embassy in Georgia, the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and several other local entities. The event attracted 204 participants, including senior officials, business leaders, and Georgian companies interested in forming partnerships with Dubai-based firms.

Speakers at the forum included Irakli Nadareishvili, Georgia’s Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development; Ahmed Ebrahim Ahmed Taher Al Nuaimi, UAE Ambassador to Georgia; George Janjgava, Ambassador of Georgia to the UAE; Salem Alshamsi, Executive Vice President of International Relations at Dubai Chambers; and Giorgi Pertaia, President of the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Alshamsi said the trade mission underscores Dubai Chambers’ commitment to deepening international business relations and driving growth in bilateral trade. Dubai–Georgia non-oil trade reached AED2.8 billion in 2024, marking a 58.5 percent annual increase, with 114 Georgian companies now registered with the Dubai Chamber.

During the forum, Dubai Chambers highlighted Dubai’s competitive economic environment, while Invest in Georgia showcased the country’s investment appeal and liberal economic reforms, identifying transport, tourism, food and beverage, and real estate as key sectors for collaboration.
