In partnership with the Dubai Future Foundation, Dubai Chambers successfully hosted a workshop focused on the growth and future opportunities in the gaming sector. The session was part of the broader Dubai Program for Gaming 2033, which aims to position Dubai among the top 10 global gaming hubs and create 30,000 new jobs in the industry.

The workshop gathered key stakeholders, including game developers, AI experts, and marketing professionals, to discuss strategies for enhancing Dubai’s competitiveness and economic value in the global gaming market. Participants highlighted the sector’s contribution to Dubai’s digital economy, aiming to generate around USD 1 billion for the city’s GDP by 2033.

Maha Al Gargawi, Vice President of Business Advocacy at Dubai Chambers, emphasized the program’s role in establishing Dubai as a leading destination for gaming businesses and professionals. The session also underscored the significance of gaming in the upcoming Expand North Star event and the ‘App Olympics’ competition under the 'Create Apps in Dubai' initiative.

A panel discussion led by the Dubai Future Foundation explored resource allocation, industry frameworks, and policies to strengthen Dubai’s position in the global gaming industry. Attendees shared insights on how Dubai can compete with established gaming markets and the importance of continued collaboration between the public and private sectors to drive the industry forward.

The workshop served as a crucial platform for aligning industry efforts to achieve long-term economic value and fortify Dubai's standing in the global gaming landscape.
