Dubai Chambers and Standard Chartered Join Forces to Boost UAE Businesses' Global Expansion
Dubai Chambers has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Standard Chartered to foster the international growth of UAE businesses and support their expansion into global markets. The collaboration is part of the Global Partnerships Programme, which aims to enhance Dubai’s role as a global business hub while supporting the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) and the Dubai Global initiative.
Under the MoU, both parties will provide integrated banking services to international companies setting up operations in Dubai, as well as UAE businesses looking to expand internationally. Standard Chartered will offer trade finance services and utilize its global network to assist Dubai-based companies in establishing international accounts. Similarly, Dubai Chambers will support Standard Chartered clients interested in entering Dubai’s market.
The partnership aims to increase the competitiveness of businesses in Dubai, facilitating their growth and expansion. It also aligns with Dubai Chambers’ goal of attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) and empowering local and international businesses to thrive in Dubai.
H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, emphasized that the agreement reinforces Dubai’s role as a pivotal global financial and business hub, while attracting investments and driving business growth. Rola Abu Manneh, CEO of Standard Chartered UAE, Middle East, and Pakistan, stated that the partnership supports the UAE’s economic diversification goals and Dubai’s ambitious D33 agenda by helping businesses achieve sustainable growth through expanded global opportunities.
Through its 32 international representative offices, Dubai Chambers will leverage this partnership to attract more FDI and promote Dubai as a gateway to global markets. The collaboration is expected to play a vital role in realizing the economic ambitions outlined in the Dubai Economic Agenda, which seeks to double the size of Dubai’s economy in the next decade and solidify its position among the world’s top three global cities.
