Dubai Chamber's Digital Economy Initiative Spurs $7 Billion in Startup Growth

The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, part of Dubai Chambers, has significantly boosted the digital startup ecosystem by supporting 215 high-potential startups in the first half of 2024, marking a 212% increase from the 69 startups in the same period last year. These startups have a combined market value of around USD 7 billion.

The chamber also trained 243 Emiratis under the 'Create Apps in Dubai' initiative, aiming to bolster digital capabilities in the UAE. Additionally, it organized 12 international roadshows promoting Expand North Star and participated in 15 local and international events.

His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama emphasized the chamber's commitment to making Dubai a global digital economy hub, aligning with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) which targets generating AED 100 billion annually through digital transformation projects. The chamber also signed four MoUs to enhance Dubai’s digital business ecosystem, including a strategic partnership with Enterprise Ireland.
