Dubai Chambers Donates AED 15 Million to Support Hamdan Bin Rashid Cancer Hospital
In a significant move to bolster healthcare in Dubai, Dubai Chambers has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Al Jalila Foundation, pledging AED 15 million to support the development of the Hamdan Bin Rashid Cancer Hospital.
This initiative, aimed at enhancing community welfare, was formalized at the Dubai Chambers' headquarters by Abdul Aziz Abdulla Al Ghurair, Chairman of Dubai Chambers, and Dr. Raja Easa Al Gurg, Chairperson of Al Jalila Foundation Board of Directors and Dubai Health Board Member.
Abdul Aziz Abdulla Al Ghurair emphasized Dubai Chambers' alignment with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, to strengthen social responsibility. He stated,
“Our cooperation with Al Jalila Foundation underscores our commitment to social responsibility and the importance of charitable work in advancing community services and fostering social and economic development.”
Dr. Raja Al Gurg expressed deep gratitude for Dubai Chambers' generous contribution, highlighting how it enhances the foundation’s mission to support cancer care in Dubai. The Hamdan Bin Rashid Cancer Hospital, currently under development, will span 56,000 square meters and include 50 clinics, 30 research areas, 60 infusion rooms, 10 urgent care rooms, five radiotherapy rooms, and 116 beds. It will also feature 19 gardens designed to provide patients with serene spaces for recovery and family time, promoting mental well-being.
The hospital will offer a comprehensive range of services, from diagnosis to treatment, supported by a multidisciplinary team of specialists. Additionally, selected treatments will be available at home, ensuring continuous, affordable care, reinforcing Dubai Health's focus on patient-centered services.
