Dubai Chambers has stepped up efforts to deepen economic cooperation with China, engaging with 18 Chinese government bodies, chambers, and trade and investment associations during a business roadshow in Shenzhen and Guangzhou.
The visit forms part of Dubai Chambers’ broader strategy to reinforce Dubai’s status as a global business hub and attract foreign direct investment. Meetings focused on promoting Dubai as a leading destination for trade and investment, while positioning the emirate as a strategic gateway for companies from China’s Greater Bay Area looking to expand internationally.
During the roadshow, Dubai Chambers outlined the comprehensive support available to Chinese companies and investors seeking to establish or scale operations in Dubai. Discussions also highlighted the chambers’ role in supporting Dubai-based businesses pursuing international growth.
Both sides explored opportunities to strengthen collaboration across key strategic sectors, reflecting the growing depth of economic ties between Dubai and China. The meetings also spotlighted the upcoming Dubai Business Forum – China, scheduled to take place in Shenzhen on 14 May 2026.
The forum will present Chinese businesses with investment opportunities linked to the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to accelerate economic growth and position Dubai among the world’s top global cities.
Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, said the organisation is focused on building on long-standing partnerships with China and elevating collaboration to a new level. He added that Dubai Chambers remains committed to connecting business communities in both markets and fostering high-impact partnerships.
The Shenzhen forum will be the fifth international edition of the Dubai Business Forum and the second hosted in China. Shenzhen was selected for its global leadership in the digital economy and technology, aligning with the forum’s scale and objectives.
The event will bring together stakeholders from Dubai and China to explore collaboration opportunities and demonstrate how Dubai’s business ecosystem supports global expansion.
