Dubai Chambers has stepped up efforts to strengthen economic cooperation with Serbia following a high-level trade mission to Belgrade, focused on expanding bilateral trade, investment, and sector-specific partnerships.

The delegation was led by Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chairman of Dubai Chambers, and Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO, as part of the Growth Corridors initiative aimed at building trade links with high-potential global markets. The visit brought together business leaders and government stakeholders from both sides to identify new areas for collaboration.

During the mission, Dubai Chambers held meetings with Serbia’s Ministry of Domestic and Foreign Trade, including discussions with Minister Jagoda Lazarević, alongside a series of roundtables with public and private sector partners. Talks centred on strengthening cooperation in food and agriculture, tourism, renewable energy, logistics, and technology, as well as attracting global talent.

Eng. Al Mansoori said the visit reflected a shared commitment to unlocking new trade and investment opportunities and deepening dialogue between the two business communities. He noted that stronger partnerships would support growth in priority sectors and advance shared economic goals.

The delegation also engaged with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, Science and Technology Park Belgrade, and Serbia’s Innovation Fund to explore collaboration in artificial intelligence, healthtech, gaming, biotechnology, blockchain, and advanced technologies. Opportunities for Serbian technology and e-commerce companies to expand into Dubai were highlighted, supported by the emirate’s logistics and digital economy ecosystem.

Non-oil trade between Dubai and Serbia reached AED335.8 million in 2024, marking a 43.5 percent annual increase. Serbian business presence in Dubai also continued to grow, with 308 active Serbian companies registered with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce by the end of 2025.
