Dubai Chambers, in collaboration with the Government of Estonia and the UAE–Estonia Business Council, hosted the first-ever Dubai–Estonia Business Seminar, marking a significant step in deepening trade, investment, and innovation ties between the two digitally advanced economies.
The seminar, held at Dubai Chambers’ headquarters, brought together H.E. Liisa-Ly Pakosta, Minister of Justice and Digital Affairs for Estonia; H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers; and H.E. Maria Belovas, Estonian Ambassador to the UAE.
Discussions focused on enhancing cooperation across sectors including advanced technologies, the digital economy, renewable energy, automotive, agritech, construction, logistics, and maritime industries. Participants explored opportunities to strengthen trade relations, leverage expertise, and forge new partnerships.
H.E. Liisa-Ly Pakosta highlighted the importance of collaboration in driving digital progress, stating that Estonia’s technological expertise aligns with the UAE’s ambition to integrate innovation across all sectors. H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah emphasized Dubai’s strategic advantages as a hub for Estonian companies seeking regional expansion and access to new markets.
Bilateral engagement is already showing tangible results. The number of Estonian companies registered with Dubai Chambers rose by 37% in 2024, reaching 95 active members by mid-2025. Non-oil trade between Dubai and Estonia grew by 10% last year, reaching AED 542.3 million.
The seminar also featured presentations showcasing the strategic benefits of establishing and expanding businesses in both Dubai and Estonia, reinforcing a shared vision for a connected and prosperous economic future.
