Dubai Chambers has hosted three legal and compliance workshops to equip businesses with the knowledge needed to navigate the UAE’s evolving regulatory environment. The sessions drew 111 participants from the local business community.
The first workshop, held with Stephenson Harwood LLP and industry partners, focused on the UAE Maritime Law, outlining importer and exporter responsibilities, freight forwarding rules, and emerging industry trends such as decarbonisation and new technologies.
The second session, organised with the Federal Tax Authority, highlighted tax agent registration procedures under the Zero Government Bureaucracy initiative, aiming to simplify compliance for businesses.
The final workshop, in collaboration with KPMG, examined corporate governance and internal controls. Participants explored strategies to build resilience, strengthen IT controls, and foster sustainable business cultures.
Through these initiatives, Dubai Chambers reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the private sector with practical guidance on compliance, enhancing competitiveness, and driving long-term economic growth in the emirate.
