Dubai Chambers has signed two significant Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Mexico’s National Chamber of Commerce, Services, and Tourism (CANACO) in Mexico City, and the El Gran Bajío business promotion agency, which is a prominent network of companies and institutions in the Bajío region of Mexico.

These agreements aim to foster greater collaboration between Dubai and Mexico, promoting business expansion and investment opportunities in both directions.

The MoUs are designed to support Mexican investors seeking to establish and grow their businesses in Dubai, while simultaneously enhancing the opportunities for Dubai-based companies to enter Mexican markets. Under the terms of these agreements, Dubai Chambers will provide extensive assistance to members of both CANACO and El Gran Bajío, facilitating their investment endeavors in Dubai. This will help Mexican businesses utilize the emirate as a gateway for regional and global market expansion.

Moreover, the agreements focus on strengthening business ties between Dubai, Mexico City, and the Bajío region, creating new avenues for trade and investment. Increased collaboration will include organizing trade fairs, investment missions, conferences, and exhibitions, as well as facilitating the exchange of valuable economic data and information to further enhance business connections.

Salem Al Shamsi, Vice President of Global Markets at Dubai Chambers, expressed enthusiasm about the new partnerships:

“We look forward to further developing economic relations and enhancing cooperation between the business communities in Dubai and Mexico. These two agreements will contribute to new avenues for the growth of trade and investments and help build promising partnerships across key sectors.”

The agreements align with Dubai Chambers' commitment to the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), which aims to double the emirate’s economy over the next decade and position Dubai among the top three cities globally. The strategic priorities of Dubai Chambers include improving the business environment, attracting international investments, and supporting the international expansion of Dubai-based companies, while also boosting the emirate's digital economy and fostering a culture of excellence.

With these new agreements, Dubai is poised to strengthen its role as a global business hub, offering new opportunities for both Dubai and Mexico to collaborate and thrive in an increasingly interconnected global economy.
