Dubai Chambers brought together 14 mayors and senior officials from cities across the globe to explore trade and investment opportunities during a high-level roundtable held as part of the 2025 Asia-Pacific Cities Summit and Mayors’ Forum at Expo City Dubai.
The session, led by H.E. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, highlighted Dubai’s role as a global model for integrating economic strategies with urban development. Officials from cities including North Miami, Athens, Bilbao, Paris, Kampala, and Casablanca took part in the discussions, which focused on strengthening partnerships to drive sustainable growth and innovation.
H.E. Lootah emphasized that Dubai’s growth has been anchored in aligning infrastructure investments with trade and foreign direct investment, in line with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33). He noted that the city’s success reflects how collaboration between trade, planning, and innovation fuels urban progress and economic resilience.
The roundtable explored strategies for integrating trade priorities into urban planning, advancing digital and physical infrastructure, and promoting collaboration between public and private sectors. Participants also discussed the use of technology and data to enhance logistics, connectivity, and sustainability while attracting global talent and investment.
Dubai Chambers reaffirmed its commitment to shaping supportive economic policies, empowering businesses, and fostering a competitive environment that encourages innovation and global partnerships.
