Dubai Chambers has advanced prospects for bilateral trade and investment with North Macedonia during a high-level meeting in Skopje with Prime Minister Professor Dr. Hristijan Mickoski.

Led by Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, the delegation explored opportunities to deepen cooperation across key growth sectors, including energy, tourism, agriculture, technology, and trade. The visit aimed to boost investment flows and foster partnerships that support sustainable economic growth in both markets.

The discussions highlighted Dubai’s role as a global business hub and emphasized its potential as a gateway for Macedonian companies to expand internationally. In turn, Dubai Chambers identified promising export opportunities from North Macedonia, such as pharmaceuticals, apparel, bakery products, mineral waters, and copper wire.

Professor Mickoski welcomed the delegation, noting the visit opens new avenues for collaboration and joint projects. Lootah underlined Dubai Chambers’ commitment to building bridges with international partners and driving mutual growth through trade cooperation.

Non-oil trade between Dubai and North Macedonia totaled AED1.8 billion over the past five years. The number of North Macedonian companies registered with Dubai Chamber of Commerce has grown from nine in 2020 to 56 by mid-2025, a rise of 522 percent. These firms are active in sectors ranging from real estate and business services to construction and education.

The mission formed part of Dubai Chambers’ ‘Growth Corridors’ initiative, designed to strengthen ties with high-potential global markets, encourage joint ventures, and create new channels for business cooperation.
