Dubai Chambers has moved to deepen economic ties with India following a high-level meeting with the Confederation of Indian Industry, aimed at boosting bilateral trade and investment across key sectors.

The discussions brought together Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, and Chandrajit Banerjee, Director-General of the Confederation of Indian Industry, alongside senior representatives from both sides. The meeting focused on developing a joint action plan to expand business partnerships and unlock new opportunities.

Officials highlighted the strong economic relationship between Dubai and India as a foundation for future growth. Lootah noted that the long-standing ties create favourable conditions for partnerships that can accelerate trade, investment, and private sector collaboration between the two markets.

Dubai Chambers reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Indian businesses by offering integrated services that help companies establish and expand operations in the emirate. The organisation also aims to position Dubai as a strategic hub for Indian investors seeking regional and global growth.

The planned collaboration will prioritise high-growth sectors, including the digital economy, with a focus on fintech, medtech, healthtech, and agritech. Additional areas of interest include education, agriculture, and food products.

The latest development builds on a Memorandum of Understanding signed in April last year between the two entities, which established a framework to strengthen cooperation and facilitate investment flows.

The ongoing partnership reflects a shared ambition to enhance economic engagement and drive sustainable growth between Dubai and India.
