Dubai Chambers has released a new report emphasizing the significance of the Business Climate Index (BCI) in shaping economic forecasting and policymaking.

Titled ‘Assessing Business Confidence: The Role of the Business Climate Index in Economic Forecasting,’ the report was unveiled during Dubai Chambers' participation as a Featured Partner at the World Governments Summit 2025, held from February 11-13 in Dubai.

The BCI, developed by Dubai Chambers in 2011, serves as a crucial economic indicator, providing valuable insights into business confidence levels and market trends. Through a quarterly survey targeting a diverse cross-section of Dubai’s business community, including SMEs, multinational corporations, and industry leaders, the index evaluates key factors such as business performance, market confidence, and investment conditions.

In a presentation at the summit, Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, highlighted the BCI’s role in guiding policies that enhance Dubai’s economic resilience and global competitiveness. He emphasized how the index equips both policymakers and business leaders with the data necessary for informed decision-making, mitigating risks, and driving sustainable growth.

Lootah also noted the BCI's impact on shaping strategic policymaking, strengthening investor confidence, and facilitating agile responses to economic disruptions. As a critical tool in Dubai’s business environment, the BCI continues to influence regulatory frameworks that foster expansion and long-term sustainability.
