Dubai’s Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA), in collaboration with Dubai Police, has launched a Digital Security Screener Licensing System for airport security personnel, marking a significant step in strengthening the emirate’s aviation security.
The system aligns with national and international standards, aiming to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and global confidence in Dubai’s airports.
The launch ceremony was attended by senior officials, including H.E. Mohammed Abdulla Lengawi, Director General of DCAA, and H.E. Major General Harib Al Shamsi, Acting Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, alongside other key leaders from both entities.
The initiative reflects a strategic partnership between DCAA and Dubai Police, supporting the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the government’s broader vision of consolidating Dubai’s status as a global aviation hub. It integrates smart technologies and modern systems to streamline licensing processes while ensuring rigorous security compliance.
H.E. Lengawi highlighted that the new system embodies a commitment to security excellence, operational efficiency, and sustainability.
“This achievement reinforces international confidence in Dubai’s aviation sector and supports the government’s vision for the future,”
he said.
Major General Al Shamsi emphasized the importance of innovation and resilience in aviation security, noting that continuous development of technical capabilities and human resources is crucial for maintaining Dubai’s leadership in the global aviation industry.
The launch also showcased advanced security and technological programs currently serving Dubai’s airports, illustrating the joint efforts of DCAA and Dubai Police in building an integrated and comprehensive security ecosystem. The initiative positions Dubai as a benchmark for aviation security standards in the region and globally.
