The General Directorate of Dubai Civil Defense and the Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing public safety and strengthening collaboration between government entities.
This agreement, signed by His Excellency Lieutenant General Expert Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi, Director General of Dubai Civil Defense, and His Excellency Ali Mohammed Al Mutawa, Secretary General of the Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation, is designed to bolster mutual capabilities, promote the exchange of expertise, and improve coordination in implementing advanced safety and preventive solutions across Dubai.
The MoU underscores both organizations' commitment to safeguarding life and property, improving fire prevention and response, and aligning with Dubai’s strategic goal of becoming one of the world’s safest cities. Lieutenant General Al Matrooshi emphasized the importance of this partnership in enhancing the quality of life for Dubai’s residents and harnessing advanced technology to ensure their protection. He expressed confidence that the collaboration will lead to the development of innovative safety solutions.
His Excellency Al Mutawa highlighted that this agreement is a crucial step towards meeting stringent safety standards and elevating the safety of buildings and facilities overseen by the Foundation. The partnership with Dubai Civil Defense will support the implementation of best practices and cutting-edge technologies, contributing to a safer and more sustainable future for Dubai.
Following the MoU signing, a delegation from the Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation visited the Dubai Civil Defense’s main operations room, readiness room, and Marhaba customer service center. The delegation was given a comprehensive overview of advanced communication programs, customer satisfaction review systems, and other strategies aimed at enhancing public service standards.
