The Community Development Authority in Dubai (CDA) has earned international acclaim after winning four major honours at the 2025 Stevie International Business Awards, underscoring the emirate’s leadership in social development and innovation.
The awards will be formally presented on 10 October in Lisbon, Portugal.
CDA’s flagship initiatives secured three Gold Awards. Its wide-ranging social support programmes, including the ‘Jood’ donation platform, ‘Baiti’ housing support, the ‘Solidarity Initiative’ and ‘Condolence Tents,’ won the award for Corporate Social Responsibility Programme of the Year.
Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum’s ‘Dubai Weddings’ initiative, which helps young Emiratis ease financial pressures when starting families, earned the Gold Award for Thought Leadership Campaign of the Year. Meanwhile, the Authority’s ‘Sanad’ App, designed to support People of Determination by enabling real-time sign language video calls, was named Best Mobile App for Social Good.

CDA also received the Bronze Award for Achievement in Corporate Social Responsibility, recognising its rapid-response ‘Solidarity and Condolence Tents’ that support families during emergencies and adverse weather conditions.
Hessa bint Essa Buhumaid, Director General of CDA, said the recognition reflects Dubai’s commitment to advancing quality of life and fostering family and social stability.
“These awards are more than an institutional milestone; they honour the dedicated efforts of our teams and partners in building a cohesive and resilient community,”
she noted.
The achievement highlights CDA’s role in driving sustainable, people-focused initiatives while reinforcing Dubai’s standing as a global leader in social innovation and community development.
