Dubai Culture and Arts Authority has introduced two vibrant murals in the Al Quoz Creative Zone as part of the ongoing Dubai Public Art Strategy, transforming the district into an evolving open-air art gallery and reinforcing Dubai’s role as a global hub for creativity and culture.
The murals are the work of three female artists who captured the spirit and diversity of Al Quoz. Egyptian artist Rabab Tantawy’s mural Vibrant Voices of Al Quoz, painted on the façade of Aramtec, showcases traditional regional elements like spice stalls, coffee pots, arches, and domes, celebrating the area's cultural richness.
Meanwhile, Emirati artist Hend Al Murid and Syrian muralist Dina Saadi collaborated on Wonder Windows, a whimsical piece on the front of children’s museum WooHoo, incorporating symbols like the Hudhud bird, Emirati motifs, and playful elements tied to childhood imagination.
Shaima Rashid Al Suwaidi, CEO of the Arts, Design & Literature Sector at Dubai Culture, said the initiative supports the growth of Dubai’s creative community and offers public spaces that reflect the UAE’s heritage and innovation. Mozah Lootah, Project Manager for the Dubai Public Art Strategy, noted that these murals contribute to tourism while enabling local artists to express their vision and spark dialogue with the community.
