Dubai Culture and Arts Authority has unveiled its Ramadan Nights programme, a citywide cultural initiative designed to celebrate Emirati traditions while fostering community connection during the holy month.
The programme invites residents and visitors to experience Ramadan through heritage, art, and shared cultural activities across several of Dubai’s leading cultural destinations.
The initiative supports the broader Ramadan in Dubai campaign under the Season of Wulfa, which focuses on strengthening family bonds and highlighting the social values associated with Ramadan. Through a diverse lineup of events, Dubai Culture aims to preserve local heritage while reinforcing Dubai’s identity as a global city that promotes tolerance, coexistence, and cultural exchange.
Activities will take place across Dubai Culture’s cultural and heritage assets, beginning with Al Safa Art and Design Library, where interactive workshops and family-friendly experiences will be hosted under the School of Life initiative by Dubai Public Libraries. Visitors can participate in creative sessions such as Free Drawing Space, the Ramadan Thoughts Wall, lantern decorating activities, and a themed treasure hunt, alongside board games and a traditional Ramadan majlis.
Evening programming will include henna art, Arabic calligraphy workshops, perfume-making sessions, matcha preparation demonstrations, live music performances, storytelling by a traditional hakawati, and choral shows. A Creative Market will also provide a platform for local artists and entrepreneurs to showcase Ramadan-inspired products.
At Al Shindagha Museum, visitors can explore traditional Arish-inspired experiences, attend storytelling sessions, and enjoy an iftar majlis featuring live cooking demonstrations by Emirati chefs. The museum will also host craft demonstrations and poetry evenings reflecting old Dubai’s social heritage.
Meanwhile, Etihad Museum will screen the film Mountain Boy followed by a discussion with its creative team, while Al Jalila Cultural Centre for Children will offer workshops, Islamic arts activities, music sessions, and traditional food experiences designed around the values of reflection, connection, and blessings.
