Dubai Culture and Arts Authority has unveiled an interactive online edition of the Burj Rashid Exhibition, offering audiences a digital journey through one of the emirate’s most iconic landmarks.

The launch builds on the success of the exhibition’s inaugural showing, first staged to mark the 45th anniversary of Burj Rashid.

The virtual platform allows users to explore the exhibition through a 360-degree immersive experience. Visitors can navigate a curated digital space showcasing works from more than 30 artists, the majority of them Emirati, alongside international contributors. Each piece reflects on Burj Rashid’s architectural and cultural legacy, underscoring its role in shaping Dubai’s identity.

The online edition also features a detailed 3D tour, where audiences can trace the tower’s evolution from original blueprints to construction stages and distinctive design elements. Archival materials, multimedia storytelling, and high-definition visuals combine to create a multi-sensory narrative that connects the skyscraper’s history with its continued influence on the city.

Curated by Kamla Al Olama, the original exhibition ran for five months at Al Safa Art and Design Library with support from several cultural and media partners.

Completed in 1979 by John R. Harris & Partners, Burj Rashid became Dubai’s first skyscraper and stood as the tallest building in the region for two decades. At 149 metres, it paved the way for the Dubai World Trade Centre and remains a symbol of the emirate’s vision and progress.
