Dubai Customs has achieved a remarkable milestone, impacting over 90,000 individuals through 23 diverse volunteer initiatives during the first nine months of the year.
With the participation of 669 employees contributing more than 3,000 volunteer hours, the organization has demonstrated its unwavering commitment to fostering a culture of giving and social solidarity.
These initiatives align with the UAE Vision 2071 and Dubai’s D33 Social Agenda, emphasizing sustainable development and an enhanced quality of life. Khalil Saqr bin Gharib, Director of Corporate Communications, highlighted the importance of volunteerism as a cornerstone of Dubai Customs' mission.
“Our efforts, inspired by global best practices, provide vital support to vulnerable groups while fostering a sense of belonging and responsibility among volunteers,”
he said.
The Ghayyath Volunteer Team, led by Fouad Al Shehhi, spearheaded initiatives ranging from health campaigns and community outreach to emergency response efforts. Al Shehhi underscored the role of volunteerism in strengthening team spirit and creating meaningful opportunities for employees.
Dubai Customs' programs included distributing Iftar meals, providing support to people of determination, and running awareness campaigns for senior citizens. These efforts reflect the organization’s vision of building a compassionate, resilient society.
With volunteerism as a key driver, Dubai Customs continues to lead impactful initiatives, reinforcing its dedication to creating a brighter, more united UAE.
