Dubai Customs is set to participate in GITEX Global 2024, taking place from October 14-18 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Under the theme "Global Collaboration to Forge a Future AI Economy," the organization will showcase its latest innovative initiatives aimed at enhancing services through advanced technology and artificial intelligence.

This initiative aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, focusing on increasing the value of Dubai's foreign trade while promoting sustainable economic growth. Visitors to the Dubai Customs exhibit can engage with a virtual simulation of the customer journey for clearing cargo shipments and discover modern devices that enhance customs inspections and protect the community from prohibited materials.

Rashid Al Sharid, Executive Director of the Finance Affairs and Administration Division at Dubai Customs and Head of the GITEX 2024 Task Force, emphasized the importance of GITEX as a global technology platform. He stated,

"These technologies have become vital in smart applications, expected to play a significant role across multiple sectors and enhance service delivery."

Al Sharid highlighted Dubai Customs’ commitment to showcasing its pioneering customs experience and digital solutions, which streamline trade processes, bolster supply chains, and maximize business returns. He announced the launch of the "Decentralized Customs" initiative and the AI-based "Al Munasiq" project at the exhibition, allowing visitors to experience customs transactions that can be completed in mere minutes through advanced digital programs.

This year’s GITEX promises to spotlight Dubai Customs’ dedication to excellence in government services and its role in facilitating business operations in the emirate.
