In a strategic move to amplify Dubai’s global tourism appeal, the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hyatt hotels in Dubai.

The partnership aims to showcase the city to new international audiences through innovative marketing, exclusive events, and curated visitor experiences—further advancing the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33.

The MoU was signed by His Excellency Issam Kazim, CEO of the Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DCTCM), and Fathi Khogaly, Area Vice President of Hyatt Hotels in Dubai. The agreement cements a shared commitment to enhancing Dubai’s profile as a premier destination for both business and leisure.

As part of the collaboration, Hyatt hotels will support DET-led initiatives, including familiarisation trips, study programmes, and high-profile events aimed at drawing global attention. The hospitality group will also contribute to DET’s marketing campaigns—such as exhibitions, flash sales, and roadshows—while receiving promotional backing for upcoming projects, notably the highly anticipated Grand Hyatt Dubai Waterpark, set to launch this year.

Content-driven storytelling and engagement with key opinion leaders (KOLs) will play a central role in expanding reach and appeal.

“This collaboration aligns with our leadership’s vision to make Dubai the world’s best city to visit, live, and work in,”

said His Excellency Kazim.

“It is a step forward in offering diverse, world-class experiences to travellers.”

Khogaly added,

“Our long-standing presence in Dubai has grown alongside its emergence as a global tourism hub. This partnership is a significant milestone in our ongoing commitment to the city’s future.”

Dubai welcomed a record-breaking 18.72 million international visitors in 2024, a 9% increase from 2023. With hotel occupancy at 78.2% and a growing inventory of over 154,000 rooms, Dubai continues to solidify its status as a global tourism powerhouse.
