Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism to Showcase Latest Initiatives at Major Trade Events
Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) is set to make a significant impact at two prominent events this month: GITEX Global 2024, scheduled for October 14-18, and Expand North Star from October 13-16.
These events aim to highlight the innovative services offered by DET, enhancing ease of doing business in the city while showcasing companies leveraging Dubai as a launchpad for global expansion.
DET's participation aligns with the ambitious Dubai Economic Agenda, D33, which aims to double the size of the city's economy by 2033 and strengthen its position as a leading global hub for business and leisure. At GITEX Global, the Dubai Business Registration and Licensing Corporation (DBLC) will introduce advanced solutions designed to streamline the investor journey, a crucial factor in attracting foreign direct investment and top talent.
Meanwhile, at Dubai Harbour, the Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Dubai SME) will showcase five member businesses, including Transcend Technologies and Sadeem Energy, emphasizing sectors such as artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. Additionally, the Hamdan Innovation Incubator (Hi2) will sponsor the Emaratipreneur Expo 2024, promoting Emirati startups and innovative ventures.
Ahmad Al Room Almheiri, Director of DBLC, stated,
“Our participation exemplifies our commitment to fostering innovation and enhancing productivity through digital adoption.”
Saeed Matar Mohammed AlMarri, Deputy CEO of Dubai SME, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the importance of integrating Emirati startups into the business ecosystem to drive future economic growth.
Through these initiatives, DET aims to further solidify Dubai’s status as a leading destination for innovation and investment.
