Dubai’s night skies will come alive on December 13 with an extraordinary spectacle blending drones, fireworks, and skydivers as part of the 30th anniversary celebrations of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF).
The unique performance will feature 150 pyro drones taking flight over Bluewaters and The Beach, JBR, accompanied by elite skydivers leaping from 10,000 feet in a breathtaking aerial display.
Kaltham Al Shamsi, Assistant Manager of Events Planning at Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRA) said the Pyro drones show is a highlight of the DSF anniversary celebrations.
“The dazzling show merges pyrotechnics with state-of-the-art drone technology for two special performances on December 13 and January 11,”
she noted. Showtimes are scheduled for 8 PM and 10 PM.
Marco Niedermeier, CEO of AO Multimedia and Drones, revealed the skydivers will perform mesmerizing stunts equipped with lights and pyrotechnics on their suits, choreographed alongside the drones.
“These elite skydivers are among the world’s most experienced, manually controlling their pyrotechnics while executing aerial dances,”
he said. AO Drones, known for iconic displays like the Burj Khalifa’s New Year’s Eve show, employs cutting-edge technology for its fleet of 6,000 drones, capable of creating intricate 3D animations and carrying fireworks.
The show’s theme takes viewers through three decades of DSF’s transformative impact on Dubai’s entertainment scene. Alongside this special performance, DSF’s daily drone shows will continue until January 12, featuring over 1,000 drones in twice-daily displays of immersive storytelling and visual artistry.
Dubai’s sky is set to dazzle with innovation and artistry, cementing its position as a global hub for spectacular entertainment.
