Dubai Duty Free has pledged AED1.95 million to the Dubai Schools project through a new partnership with the Knowledge Fund Establishment, reinforcing public-private collaboration in the education sector.
The agreement was formalised with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding at Dubai Duty Free’s headquarters.
The initiative aims to enhance the Dubai Schools ecosystem by improving teaching capabilities, upgrading facilities, and expanding access to high-quality academic services. It aligns with the Education 33 Strategy, which focuses on building a modern educational framework that empowers students and nurtures innovation.
The signing ceremony was attended by Abdulla Mohammed Al Awar, CEO of the Knowledge Fund Establishment, and Ramesh Cidambi, Managing Director of Dubai Duty Free, along with senior representatives from both organisations. Al Awar highlighted the partnership as a prime example of corporate social responsibility, noting its role in developing inclusive and innovative educational environments.
Ramesh Cidambi emphasised Dubai Duty Free’s commitment to long-term investment in education, describing the initiative as a contribution to both student empowerment and the broader development of Dubai’s educational landscape.
The funding will support ongoing projects, including the Nad Al Sheba campus extension, scheduled for completion in 2026, which will feature state-of-the-art educational and sports facilities. The collaboration reflects Dubai Duty Free’s dedication to community development and the Knowledge Fund Establishment’s mission to provide holistic, high-quality learning experiences that blend modern methodologies with Emirati values.
This partnership underscores the importance of corporate contributions in shaping Dubai’s future as a global hub for knowledge, innovation, and world-class education.
