The World Economic Forum's (WEF) Strategic Cybersecurity Talent Framework report has commended the Dubai Electronic Security Center (DESC) for its significant initiatives, such as the Dubai Cyber Innovation Park and the Cyber Security Competency Framework (Qudraat).
These efforts aim to empower the next generation of cybersecurity experts and enhance training and development for cybersecurity professionals in Dubai.
The DESC’s contributions align with its ongoing collaborations with global partners, including the WEF, to address the global cybersecurity workforce shortage estimated at 4 million professionals. The WEF praised the DESC team, led by Dr. Bushra AlBlooshi, for their substantial input and expertise in launching the Cybersecurity Talent Framework, highlighting their commitment to fostering global cybersecurity skills.
Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director-General of Digital Dubai, emphasized the importance of international partnerships in enhancing Dubai’s reputation as a hub for high-quality talent and innovation.
Yousuf Hamad Al Shaibani, Head of Cyber Security of Dubai, reiterated DESC’s dedication to making Dubai the safest city in cyberspace by nurturing young talents with essential technological skills.
The Cybersecurity Talent Framework aims to attract and retain cybersecurity talent by improving job understanding, removing entry barriers, and promoting workforce diversity.
Dr. Bushra Al Blooshi highlighted the growing global shortage of cybersecurity professionals and the essential role of these experts in advancing digital technology across sectors.
