The Dubai Event Security Committee (ESC) has confirmed full readiness for the New Year’s Eve 2026 celebrations, unveiling comprehensive security, organisational, transport, healthcare, and public service plans to ensure a safe and world-class experience.
The announcement was made during a press conference at Dubai Civil Defence Headquarters, attended by senior officials from key government and partner entities.
This year’s celebrations will include 48 fireworks displays across 40 locations throughout Dubai, including iconic destinations such as Burj Khalifa, Atlantis The Royal, Global Village, Expo City Dubai, Dubai Frame, Al Marmoom Oasis, Hatta, and Dubai Parks and Resorts. A unified security framework brings together 55 government, semi-government, and private entities, with the emirate divided into four operational sectors to ensure smooth coordination.
Dubai Police will deploy nearly 10,000 officers and more than 1,600 patrol vehicles, supported by marine units, mounted patrols, and bicycles. Assistance tents will offer first aid, guidance, and lost-and-found services, while dedicated viewing areas have been arranged for workers. Dubai Civil Defence has completed inspections of over 300 facilities and will deploy more than 1,700 firefighters and specialised vehicles, including marine firefighting boats.
Transport and traffic management plans are being led by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), with extended public transport services, road closures around key event zones, and advanced AI-based systems to manage traffic flow. Dubai Metro and Tram services will operate continuously for up to 43 hours, supported by thousands of taxis, buses, and limousine vehicles.
Dubai Ambulance Services and Dubai Health have implemented comprehensive healthcare coverage, including ambulance points across the emirate, a field hospital near Burj Khalifa, and round-the-clock telemedicine services. Dubai Municipality has activated public safety, waste management, and food safety plans, while public parks and family-only beaches will offer extended hours.
Dubai Media will deliver global live coverage of the celebrations, while more than 1,800 volunteers will support security and community operations. The ESC reaffirmed Dubai’s commitment to delivering a safe, organised, and memorable New Year experience.
