Dubai’s private education sector is set for another year of strong growth with 16 early childhood centres, six new schools, and three international universities opening for the 2025-26 academic year.
The expansion will create over 11,700 new school seats and welcome more than 2,400 children at early childhood centres, offering families a wider range of high-quality education choices.
Among the schools opening are five UK curriculum institutions, including GEMS School of Research and Innovation in Sports City and Dubai British School Mira, as well as a French curriculum school, Lycée Français International School in Mudon. Early childhood centres will feature a variety of programmes, from the UK’s EYFS to Montessori and Creative Curriculum options.
Higher education will see new entrants such as the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, ranked among the world’s top business schools, the American University of Beirut, and Fakeeh College for Medical Sciences from Saudi Arabia.
Her Excellency Aisha Miran, Director General of KHDA, said the sector’s expansion reflects strong investor confidence and aligns with Dubai’s Education 33 Strategy to deliver quality learning across all stages.
Dubai’s private education landscape now includes 331 early childhood centres, 233 schools, and 44 higher education institutions.
