The Dubai Films and Games Commission (DFGC) partnered with Ubisoft to host a midnight launch event for Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced, marking the commission's first public event since its establishment under the Dubai Media Council.

The gathering brought together gaming enthusiasts, creators and fans for an immersive celebration of the highly anticipated remake, held ahead of the title's global release. Guests enjoyed an interactive gaming hub with dedicated play areas, Assassin's Creed themed cosplay, franchise trivia and a range of fan engagement activities designed to spotlight gaming culture and community.

Black Flag Resynced rebuilds the acclaimed 2013 original using the latest version of Ubisoft's Anvil Engine, delivering upgraded visuals and gameplay while preserving the elements that made the franchise title a fan favourite. Developed by Ubisoft Singapore with input from members of the original team, the remake follows pirate protagonist Edward Kenway through his adventures across the Caribbean.

Faisal Kazim, Games Commissioner at DFGC, said the event reflects the commission's commitment to supporting Dubai's gaming ecosystem and creating opportunities for creators and industry leaders to connect. He added that partnerships with global players like Ubisoft support the emirate's ambition to become a leading hub within one of the world's fastest growing creative industries.

Gareth Evans, Territory Director at Ubisoft, said the original Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag drew more than 34 million players since its 2013 debut, and the remake arrives with enhanced visuals, upgraded gameplay and new content for a new generation of players.

Ahead of its global release, Black Flag Resynced has already surpassed one million wishlists across platforms and will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox and PC.
