Dubai Financial Market (DFM) reported a strong performance for the first nine months of 2025, posting a net profit before tax of AED 930.8 million, up 212% from the same period last year.
Total consolidated revenue rose 138% year-on-year to AED 1.1 billion, driven by higher trading activity and Dubai’s expanding capital markets ecosystem.
The DFM General Index climbed 13.2% to close at 5,839.64 points, while total market capitalization reached AED 995 billion, reflecting a 9.7% rise compared to the end of 2024. Average daily traded value surged 83% to AED 709 million, underscoring strong liquidity and growing institutional participation.
Chairman Helal Saeed Al Marri said the results highlight the vitality of Dubai’s capital markets and the growing confidence of global investors. He noted that DFM’s strategy continues to deepen liquidity, attract international participation, and align with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33).
By the end of September, DFM had added over 82,000 new investors, 84% of whom were foreign, taking the total investor base to more than 1.2 million. Foreign investors accounted for 51% of total trading value, while institutional investors represented 70%, reaffirming DFM’s global appeal.
The market also saw significant capital activity, including du’s landmark secondary share sale and ALEC Holding’s IPO, both of which strengthened market liquidity and sectoral diversity. Financials, real estate, and utilities led DFM’s market capitalization, reflecting Dubai’s diversified economic foundation.
CEO Hamed Ali said DFM’s robust performance reflects its progress in expanding market access, deepening liquidity, and driving innovation, positioning it as one of the region’s leading capital markets.
