Dubai is gearing up for a month-long celebration of health and vitality as the ninth edition of the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) launches on 1 November 2025.
An initiative of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, the Challenge once again calls on residents and visitors to commit to 30 minutes of daily activity for 30 days under the theme “Find Your Challenge.”
Running until 30 November, DFC 2025 aims to reaffirm Dubai’s position among the world’s most active cities with a packed calendar of free fitness events, community activities, and wellness experiences. From cycling and running to yoga and water sports, the initiative transforms Dubai into an open-air gym, uniting people of all ages and fitness levels.
His Excellency Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council, said DFC has evolved from a simple challenge into a cultural movement.
“We measure success not by numbers alone but by lives transformed — families who walk together, workplaces that promote wellness, and neighbourhoods that have become active communities,”
he said.
“The Challenge is a catalyst for daily habit, shaping Dubai into a city where health and happiness thrive.”
Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, described this year’s theme as a perfect reflection of inclusivity and unity.
“In the UAE’s ‘Year of Community,’ DFC connects people through movement, strengthening bonds and inspiring lasting healthy habits. It’s about creating a city that’s active, connected, and full of energy,”
he said.
