The Organising Committee of DUBAI GAMES, Dubai’s premier team sports event, has announced the renewal of its partnership with DP World through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, the agreement extends DP World’s sponsorship until 2028, marking a continued collaboration for the growth of the event.
The DUBAI GAMES, which is set to launch its sixth edition on 20 February 2025, has witnessed significant growth over the years. Abdulla bin Damithan, CEO and Managing Director of DP World GCC, expressed his pride in continuing the partnership, highlighting that the event reinforces Dubai’s global status as a hub for sports, fitness, and well-being. He also praised the values of teamwork and strategic thinking embodied by the games, emphasizing the power of collaboration in promoting Dubai’s vibrant sports culture.
Marwan bin Essa, Director of DUBAI GAMES, acknowledged that DP World’s ongoing support has been key to the event’s success and international reach. He assured that the 2025 edition would build on this foundation, offering an exceptional experience for participants and spectators alike.
The sixth edition of DUBAI GAMES will feature over 240 teams across various categories, including the Battle of the Government, Battle of the Community, Battle of the Cities, and Battle of the Juniors. With a total prize pool exceeding AED 3.1 million, the event is expected to attract teams from around the world.
The main championship will run from 20th to 23rd February 2025 at Dubai Festival City, following qualifiers earlier in February.
