As the city embraces the Holy Month of Ramadan, Dubai Gold Souk Extension has kicked off a new annual initiative, “Souk of Giving”, honoring the unsung heroes who keep Dubai moving every day. From 10 to 25 March 2025, the city’s taxi and tour bus drivers are invited to collect complimentary Iftar packages, recognizing their vital role in guiding visitors and residents alike to one of Dubai’s most iconic gold trade hubs.
Each evening, taxi and tour bus drivers make their way to the Dubai Gold Souk Extension information desk, where they can collect their Iftar packages by presenting a valid RTA or official tour operator ID. More than just a meal, this initiative is a reflection of Ramadan’s spirit of generosity and hospitality, ensuring that those working tirelessly during the holy month are not forgotten. On the very first day, over 100 drivers took part, setting the tone for the initiative and reinforcing the Dubai Gold Souk Extension’s commitment to supporting the community.
