The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has rolled out a major training initiative to prepare its workforce for the fast-evolving digital future of healthcare, aligning with the emirate’s broader strategy to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) across sectors.

Announced during the inaugural Dubai AI Week, the programme supports Dubai’s push to become a global leader in smart healthcare. Developed with strategic partners, the training aims to cultivate a future-ready, innovation-driven health system by equipping DHA staff with advanced skills in AI and digital technologies.

The initiative features three core programmes tailored to different employee levels. The “Executive Diploma in Enabling AI in the Healthcare Sector,” developed with ESCP Business School, targets DHA leaders and department heads, focusing on strategic decision-making, integration of smart solutions, and global best practices.

A second programme, delivered via LinkedIn Learning, targets 200 employees in technical and analytical roles. It offers flexible, role-specific AI training with measurable workplace impact and certification linked to professional profiles.

The third, “One Million AI Prompters Programme,” developed in collaboration with the Dubai Future Foundation and the Dubai Centre for AI Applications, trains staff in generative AI and prompt engineering to enhance data-driven decision-making and boost productivity. Over 25 percent of DHA employees have already completed the course.

Fatima Al Khaja, DHA’s Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer, said the initiative aims to embed a sustainable digital culture within the organisation. Private healthcare providers are also being encouraged to join the effort as strategic partners.

DHA recently recognised a number of staff who completed the programme, underscoring its commitment to human capital development and Dubai’s vision for a smart, resilient healthcare ecosystem.
