The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has been awarded three prestigious honors for its pioneering value-based healthcare initiative, "Ejada Ai."

This AI-powered system aims to enhance preventive care for chronic diseases, improve healthcare quality, and shift the health sector from a volume-based to a value-based care model.

The DHA's innovative approach was recognized with the UAE Innovates 2024 Award for the Most Innovative Disruptive Project. UAE Innovates is the largest national event celebrating innovation across the country. Additionally, the authority secured the Gold level in two Industry Eagles awards for Innovation and the Globee award for Radical Innovation. These accolades mark a significant milestone in DHA's commitment to excellence and innovation in healthcare.

The "Ejada" initiative is designed to position Dubai as a benchmark for healthcare provision, aiming to deliver optimal treatment outcomes at minimal costs. The awards reflect DHA's dedication to setting new standards in healthcare delivery through innovative solutions, big data utilization, and cutting-edge technologies.

Awadh Seghayer Al Ketbi, Director General of DHA, expressed pride in the "Ejada" initiative, emphasizing that the awards highlight the authority's commitment to enhancing patient outcomes, improving care quality, and ensuring the sustainability of the healthcare system. He reaffirmed DHA's resolve to modernize and develop healthcare in line with Dubai's strategic vision.

Saleh Al Hashimi, CEO of Dubai Health Insurance Corporation, described "Ejada" as a transformative initiative that focuses on value-based care, aiming to improve health outcomes, patient experience, and reduce healthcare costs. This initiative underscores DHA's commitment to advancing healthcare services and embracing innovative solutions to elevate the quality of care in Dubai.

The UAE Innovates Award, introduced by the Mohammed Bin Rashid Centre for Government Innovation in February 2021, honors individuals and organizations driving innovation, reflecting the UAE's efforts to become a leading nation in innovation.
