Dubai Health has launched the Community Majalis initiative, a city-wide engagement drive aimed at strengthening ties with residents and shaping healthcare services through direct community input.
The initiative, aligned with the UAE’s “Year of Community” 2025 theme, brings Dubai Health teams face-to-face with residents through monthly gatherings held in various neighborhoods. The first session took place in Jumeirah on April 23, with more scheduled across the city throughout the year.
Community Majalis sessions are designed to encourage open dialogue, allowing residents to share concerns, feedback, and suggestions about healthcare services. Dubai Health says the initiative aims to foster trust, promote transparency, and create a more responsive healthcare system.
Dr. Amer Sharif, CEO of Dubai Health, described the program as a key part of fulfilling Dubai’s Social Agenda 33, which focuses on building a sustainable and efficient healthcare ecosystem.
“By meeting residents where they live and listening to their feedback, we’re encouraging shared responsibility in the future of healthcare,”
he said.
As part of this broader push, Dubai Health has also introduced the globally recognized Press Ganey program, which uses tailored surveys to track patient experience and guide service improvements.
Insights gathered from the Community Majalis will help shape strategic decisions, ensuring that services evolve based on real-world experiences from the people who use them.
