Dubai Health successfully organized the second edition of its ‘Clinic of Hope’ initiative at Al Jalila Children’s Hospital, delivering essential free medical care to 300 children across more than 20 specialized fields.

Led by Al Jalila Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Dubai Health, the initiative was held in line with Zayed Humanitarian Day and the ‘Year of Community,’ reinforcing the UAE’s vision of fostering a compassionate and inclusive society.

The initiative aligns with Dubai Health’s ‘Patient First’ promise, ensuring equitable access to quality healthcare, particularly for children in need. In addition to medical check-ups, the event featured support from the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, which distributed gifts, and the Emirates Literature Foundation, which hosted storytelling and educational sessions. Popular mascots Salem and Salama also brought joy to young patients.

Dr. Amer Sharif, CEO of Dubai Health, emphasized the significance of the initiative, stating,

“Providing sustainable and comprehensive healthcare for underprivileged children is at the heart of our mission. Holding this event on Zayed Humanitarian Day pays tribute to our nation’s founding values of philanthropy and social solidarity.”

Dr. Mohammed Al Awadhi, Deputy CEO of Al Jalila Children's Hospital and Latifa Hospital, highlighted the programme’s growth, noting a 20% increase in beneficiaries compared to the previous year. He also confirmed ongoing medical follow-ups for 45 children requiring long-term care.

With the support of 100 volunteers, including medical and administrative professionals as well as students from Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences, the initiative underscores Dubai Health’s commitment to advancing humanitarian healthcare and community well-being.
