Dubai Holding and Community Development Authority Bring Eid Cheer to Orphans and Underprivileged Minors
Dubai Holding, a globally diversified investment company with investments in 31 countries, and the Community Development Authority in Dubai (CDA), jointly hosted a special exhibition dedicated to distributing gifts to orphans and underprivileged minors ahead of Eid Al Fitr.
The two-day exhibition, held at the Authority's Al Mizhar Majlis, was part of the joint Ramadan initiative 'Gift It Forward' by Dubai Holding and the Community Development Authority.
The 'Gift It Forward' initiative, part of the #RamadanInDubai campaign, repurposed new products into meaningful gifts for low-income individuals, supported by the Dubai Volunteering Programme. Over 1,400 beneficiaries, including orphans and minors, received Eid supplies and gifts, fostering happiness and social unity.
Led by Dubai Holding and the Community Development Authority, the initiative demonstrates a commitment to social responsibility and sustainable practices. Hariz Al-Murr bin Hariz emphasized corporate social responsibility's role in sustainable development, while Huda Buhumaid highlighted the initiative's alignment with Dubai Holding's sustainability strategy and values of giving. The partnership aims to enhance community welfare and inclusivity, especially during Ramadan.
Launched at the beginning of Ramadan, the 'Gift It Forward' initiative drew over 200 volunteers who helped pack and distribute gift packages to workers and families throughout the entire month.
